High Bun and Pearls

Clearly I'm obsessed with high buns, I haven't quite perfected them yet, but I've been trying different variations.  My hair is so long that it's actually difficult.  But it's the perfect hairstyle for when I just don't have enough time to do anything with my ridiculously long tresses.

 

I got this sweater at the thrift store! I thought it was a pretty good find, it's cashmere and has pearl buttons down the shoulder.  Unfortunately I didn't get a shot of that part, but it's really cute.  So I paired it with my multiple strand pearl necklace that I made with 3-4 pearl necklaces and ribbon. {Kind of like this}  

Silver Pave Chain Link Bracelet

I have been lusting over a pave chain link bracelet for months! The J. Crew version just leaves me drooling! But I certainly can not afford to spend $125 on a bracelet! A little Chambray goes a long way...

I got another {lighter in color}chambray top for Christmas.  I get so much wear out of my other one {seen here, here and here} that I didn't think having 2 was so crazy.  I just love it paired with leggings.  I wish I could wear leggings daily! They are my equivalent to sweatpants.

This is definitely a go-to outfit for me.  When I need to pack something for a quick over night trip, or throw something on for an impromptu lunch with girlfriends.

Striped Dress/Fur Vest

I love this fur vest! It was a great purchase because I wear it constantly! Seen here and here. I've worn it so many other times, I just didn't get pics.  I'm really bad at remembering to take pics of my outfits!

NYE in D.C.

We traveled to Washington DC to visit my sister and her boyfriend for New Years.  While we were there we headed over to the National Harbor to have dinner and check out the Gaylord and their gorgeous Christmas Decorations.  {A little late for Christmas posts, I know, but I have been so busy that I haven't had time to upload them!}

Casino Night!

I took Trey to Cleveland's new Horseshoe Casino for his Birthday present.  We got a hotel and just had a nice little weekend getaway.  Gambling isn't really my thing, I always tell Trey "I like my money right where I can see it, hanging in my closet", a Carrie quote from SATC but it's very true, for the $100 or so that I'd take to the casino, I'd much rather just take it shopping.  But Trey loves gambling, and he's surprisingly good at it {if only he knew when to stop-that's key!} so it was nice to do something that he enjoys for a night.

Hunter Rain Boots

I have been lusting over Hunters for quite some time now, my biggest obstacle keeping me from buying them was the color. I love every single color! When it would come time to pick a color and pull the trigger on purchasing, I'd back out and just close the tab to give myself more time to deliberate.  When my cousin alerted me of this metallic grey color on sale for $79, I jumped at the offer and just got them! I wasn't sure how I felt about them at first, I still think I want a color, like the original green color, or a staple like black, or maybe something trendy like the mint or merlot, but for now, I'm happy with my choice {and the fact that they were on sale!}.

Wedding Crazy!!

I haven't been updating my blog or taking any outfit pics lately because I've been going crazy with this wedding planning.  I've got Up-lighting and Honeymoons on the brain...fashion has officially taken a backseat in my life. {Gasps!} For those of you who know me, shocking I know...and now I'm really starting to regret all those September, October, November and December purchases I've made :-/  I could have probably paid for the up-lighting by now...Oh well, I'll figure out a way to afford it all, I always do :)
